Set up your organization and first Brand
Enter your legal business once, create the Brand you trade under, and add the details that print on every document.
Hectile separates who you are legally from the name customers know. Your Organization is the legal business — its legal name, registered address and tax registration. A Brand is the trading name on your documents, with its own logo, contact details and numbering.
Step by step
- Enter your organization’s details
Legal name, registered address, country, currency and fiscal year start. In India, your GSTIN and CIN or LLPIN; elsewhere, your tax number and company or trade licence.
- Create your first Brand
The name you trade under, its logo (PNG, JPEG or SVG), email, phone and website.
- Answer the starting-point question
It switches on the features that fit how you work.

- Check numbering
Each Brand has its own series, like BD-INV-0001. Set the next number if you’re continuing from another system.
Tax registration belongs to the legal business, so every Brand prints the organization’s tax details. A separate legal company is a separate Organization — that keeps each company’s records, team and billing apart.
Company particulars
Settings›Organization also keeps your CIN or LLPIN (India), a company or trade licence number (elsewhere), phone and website. They print under your address when filled — or switch them off in Fields on documents.
Common questions
Can I change the legal name later?
Yes. New documents use the new details; issued documents keep the details they were issued with.
I’m not registered for GST yet. What do I enter?
Leave the GSTIN empty and choose a starting point without GST. Turn GST invoicing on the day you register.
