View guideWhat do I need to set up before my first invoice?
An Organization (your legal business), a Primary Brand (the trading name customers see) and a customer. Then create a Draft, review it and finalize.
Does creating an account start my trial?
The seven-day trial applies to your first eligible owned Organization once the trial is activated. Creating an account or Organization alone does not start it or grant AI actions.
Is there a free plan?
No. Hectile has a 7-day trial for your first eligible owned Organization and one paid plan per Organization.

View guideWhen does an invoice get its number?
At finalization. Drafts show “Draft” and use no number; deleting a Draft leaves no gap.
Can I edit an issued invoice?
Not its financial details. Cancel it with a reason and issue a corrected one.
Is a quotation different from an estimate?
No. Quotations use the Estimate workflow with the title you prefer.
Does accepting an estimate create the invoice?
No. Record the acceptance, then create a separate Invoice Draft from the Estimate. The Estimate becomes Converted when that invoice is finalized.
Brands and team
View guideHow many Brands can I have?
One Primary Brand during the trial; unlimited Brands on a paid Organization.
Can a member see only one Brand?
No. Membership is Organization-wide and members work across all Brands.
How many team members are included?
Up to 20 per paid Organization at no extra cost. The trial includes one member.
When do I need a second Organization?
When there is a second legal business. Brands are for one legal business trading under several names.
Currencies and taxes
View guideHow is a document’s currency chosen?
Customer preferred currency, then Brand default, then Organization default. You can change it on the Draft; nothing is converted.
Does Hectile convert amounts between currencies?
No. Amounts are taken exactly as typed and no exchange rates are stored.
Can I use GST or VAT?
Create a tax profile with the rate components and treatment you need. Hectile calculates and prints it; it does not decide which tax applies or file returns.
Payments and sharing
View guideCan customers pay online through Hectile?
Not in this version. Invoices carry your payment instructions; you record payments you receive.
Can I record a partial payment?
Yes. Record what arrived; the invoice shows Partially Paid with the outstanding balance until it is fully paid.
What happens if I revoke a document link?
The link stops working; the document is unaffected. A PDF already downloaded is not recalled.
Does sending change the invoice?
No. Sending records a delivery only. Number, date, amounts and payment state stay the same.
What does AI Quick Create do?
It proposes a Draft from a plain-language request. You review and save it; AI never finalizes, sends or records payments.
How many AI actions do I get?
100 per month per paid Organization, 10 in total during the trial, shared by the whole Organization. AI Boost adds 250 per month.
Billing
View guideHow much does Hectile cost?
$12 per month or $120 per year per Organization.
What happens when the trial ends?
The plan you chose starts automatically; we email you 24 hours before the first charge. If you cancelled during the trial, the Organization becomes read-only until activated. Data is not deleted; issued PDFs and existing links remain available.
Do I pay per user?
No. The subscription is per Organization and includes up to 20 members and unlimited Brands.
