Late fees
Charge a percentage or fixed fee on overdue invoices as a debit note — asked first, or issued and sent automatically.
- The fee — up to 25% of the overdue balance, or a fixed amount; after 7, 15 or 30 days; once or monthly up to 3 or 6 times.
- When a fee is due — Ask me first, or Issue and send it.
- Late fee ready — Issue and Send, or Don’t Charge This Time.
- Turn on Late fees

Once a day Hectile works out the fee due on each overdue invoice — issued, with a balance, not paused, no payment report waiting, and the customer not left out. The fee is a debit note (“Late fee for invoice BD-INV-0118, 16 days overdue”) at the invoice’s tax; the invoice never changes, and the next reminder names the debit note.
Only the latest fee due is made — fees missed while late fees were off aren’t charged all at once. Leave a customer out on their page and they’re never charged.
