Turn features and fields on or off

Switch off the features you don’t use and choose which fields each kind of document shows — nothing is ever deleted.

Hectile does a lot. You don’t have to see all of it. The Owner and Admins can switch features off in Settings›Features and choose the fields each kind of document shows in Fields on documents.

  1. Features — every feature, grouped: Documents, Payments, Customers, GST, Sending, Files and Connections.
  2. A group — switch a feature off and it disappears from menus, the editor, emails, links and reports.
  3. Fields on documents — choose what each kind of document shows.

What “off” means

  • Hidden everywhere — menus, the New Document menu, the editor, emails, links and reports.
  • Schedules and reminders for it stop.
  • Nothing is deleted. Documents already made stay in Documents, can be opened, downloaded and sent, and links you’ve already shared keep working.
  • Turn it back on and everything returns.

Choose fields per kind of document

Pick Invoice, Estimate, Proforma, Credit note or Receipt, then tick the fields it shows — due date, your tax number, PO and reference, place of supply, Ship To, HSN/SAC, quantity and rate, tax on each line, tax by type, total in words, UPI QR code, signature and more. Title, number, date, customer, description and amount always show.

Recommended

If you bill services by the job, turn off Quantity and rate: each line becomes one amount, and the editor stops asking for quantities.

GST locks some fields

While GST invoicing is on, the fields GST requires on tax invoices and credit notes — GSTINs, place of supply, HSN/SAC and tax by type — stay on.

Start again

Start again from a starting point resets every switch to Simple invoicing, Invoices and estimates, GST business or Everything.

Common questions

Will hiding a field change invoices I already sent?

No. Issued documents keep the fields they were issued with. Drafts show your current choice.

Can Members change features?

No — only the Owner and Admins. Members and Viewers don’t see Settings.
