An example library
Meridian Ventures Ltd. saves the services its Brands bill most often. Items are Organization-level, so both Brightline Design and Harbor Marketing can use them.

Save an item or service
Use saved items in a Draft
Pick a saved item and the line fills in. Then review it in the context of this document: quantity, the rate for this customer, the description for this job and the tax treatment. Typed lines work exactly the same way — saving is a convenience, not a requirement.
A default rate is a number, not a converted price. If the document is in a different currency from the one you normally bill in, enter the correct amount for that currency. Hectile does not convert amounts.
Editing a saved item
Changes affect
- Lines you add from the library after the change.
- Nothing else automatically — existing Draft lines keep the values you reviewed unless you re-add the item.
Changes never affect
- Issued invoices and estimates. Their lines are a snapshot taken at finalization.
- Payment records or balances.
Items and Services describe what you bill for. Hectile does not track stock counts, warehouses, purchase orders or inventory valuation.
Common questions
No. Type lines directly whenever you like. Save the ones you use repeatedly.
Saved items are shared across the Organization so every Brand can use them. Use clear names if a service differs by Brand.
Existing Draft lines keep the rate you reviewed. Re-add the item or edit the line if you want the new rate on that Draft. Issued documents never change.
A saved item holds one default rate. Enter the correct amount on the document when you bill in another currency — nothing is converted automatically.
